We’re looking for a Product and Process Development Technician to join our Chocolate Operations team based at 2777 Kingsway, Vancouver, BC. This individual will report to the Product and Process Development Manager.

Job Overview: The Product and Process Development Technician supports our Product Development and Production Teams in investigating, analyzing, designing, and implementing new and existing products and processes. They aim to enhance operational efficiencies, improve quality, and reduce waste.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Following recipes to produce high-quality samples
  2. Maintaining product development logs and recording data related to equipment operation
  3. Observing and collecting data during R&D and production test runs to identify improvement opportunities
  4. Documenting process changes and training production staff affected by these changes
  5. Operating various lab and production equipment, performing routine maintenance
  6. Receiving, inspecting, and maintaining inventory of R&D ingredients, equipment, and tools
  7. Providing feedback and support for continuous process and project improvements

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Degree with 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Adaptable and resilient in changing environments
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse audiences
  • Enjoys collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
