The Process Operator is a rotating shift work position in the Production Department. The operator is required to perform central control room work and plant floor work as needed to maintain good equipment operation.
- $27.92 per hour plus overtime after 40 hours

Overtime during the week and weekends will be required as necessary.
- Operate the rendering/Equacooker system safely, efficiently, and environmentally soundly.
- Follow established operating practices and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor processes continuously and make adjustments to maintain control over production rates, flow rates, levels, temperatures, steam heating, pressures, residence time, etc.
- Maximize process throughput while preventing material plugs, spills, equipment damage, health and safety risks, or environmental impact.
- Record and report all shift activities, incidents, production data, maintenance issues, and other relevant information (e.g., shift logs, process statistics, inventory sheets, maintenance requests, HACCP records).
- Communicate operational information effectively at shift change through direct communication and reports.
- Provide backup coverage for shifts during holidays, vacations, sick days, or other absences.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 1 year experience with heavy equipment in a continuous manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of physical principles related to flow, steam pressure, temperature, heating, and mechanical forces.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Technical aptitude and motivation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
