What You'll Do:

1. Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
2. Repair and Maintain Mobile Equipment. Service, repair, adjust, and test all mobile equipment that operates throughout the plant to maximize performance and limit downtime.
3. Inspect Equipment and Material. Inspect all mobile equipment to identify and troubleshoot errors. Perform repairs when necessary.
4. Handle and Move Objects. Handle, install, position, and move parts, materials, and industrial hand tools safely throughout the shop and plant.
5. Document and Record Information. Ensure accurate documentation on a daily and monthly basis regarding all mobile equipment. Maintain service reports in written or electronic form.
6. Operate Equipment. Assist in driving heavy equipment and vehicles throughout the plant as needed to ensure efficient production.
7. Perform General Physical Activities. Engage in physical activities such as climbing, lifting, walking, and handling materials.
8. Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience. Previous experience working on diesel or heavy construction equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of Best Practices. Knowledge of servicing heavy construction equipment is preferred.
• Flexibility. Willing to work overtime and in all weather conditions, tolerating loud noises.
• Mechanical Skills. Knowledge of industrial tools and maintenance.
