Job summary

Best Buy Canada is seeking a Process Engineering Analyst for our Brampton, ON distribution center. You will partner with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to analyze DC processes and performance data, identifying improvements and leading projects to implement them.

You'll apply Lean Six Sigma, run time and motion studies, and support capacity and labor planning with quantitative analyses. This is an onsite role at the Brampton DC with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years in process engineering or equivalent co-op/internship experience.
  • Experience using data analytics tools (SQL, VBA, Python) and Excel.
  • Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and MS Visio.

Responsibilities

  • Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to identify optimization opportunities across DC processes.
  • Gather project requirements with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Analyze operational performance metrics (throughput, units/hour, fill rate, cycle time) to surface trends and causes.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to validate efficiency and improve work standards.
  • Support planning and implementation of major projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Translate analyses into recommendations for operations leadership.
  • Support forecasting and quantitative simulation for capacity, labor, and process planning.

Do you enjoy turning data into decisionsand value working alongside a team to make operations run better?We’re looking for a Process Engineering Analyst to join our engineering teamat ourBrampton, ON distribution center.

In this role, you’ll partner with engineers, analysts, and operational stakeholders to analyze distribution center processes and performance data, identify improvement opportunities, andleadthe projectsthat bring those improvements to life. This is an onsite role based at our BramptonDC.

What you’ll do:
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to identify optimization and continuous improvement opportunities across DC processes.
  • Gather project requirements in partnership with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Perform detailed analysis of operational performance metrics (e.g. throughput, units per hour, fill rate, cycle time) to surface trends and root causes.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to validate process efficiency, establish and improve work standards.
  • Support the planning and implementation of majorprojectsand continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Translate analysis into clear recommendations for operational and leadership audiences.
  • Support forecasting and quantitative simulation work for capacity, labor, and process planning.
What we’re looking for:
  • 1+ years of professional experience in process engineering or equivalent co-op/internship experience.
  • Experience with data analytics tools like SQL, VBA, Python, and proficiency in Excel.
  • Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), Statistics, MS Visio.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in an agile project environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings to operational and leadership stakeholders.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience is preferred.
Nice to have:
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
  • Experience with AutoCAD for facility and space analysis.
  • Financial acumen, ability to perform cost benefit analysis to support and prioritize initiatives.
  • Familiarity with warehouse or labor management systems (e.g.Blue Yonder, Manhattan, Exacta)
