As a Process Engineer, you will collaborate with our Kitchener, ON team on ongoing and upcoming water industry projects. You will work alongside experienced technical experts to support municipal treatment process planning, modeling, design, and construction based on established standards and software.

You will leverage your expertise in process design hydraulics, modeling, physical and biological treatment processes, and relevant regulations to develop solutions for local, regional, and national treatment challenges. Responsibilities include developing engineering studies, reports, drawings, specifications, contract documents, proposals, and cost estimates; providing construction and field engineering services as needed.

You may also manage projects, leading teams through all phases from planning to closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence per contract.

Work Environment

Our hybrid work model typically requires team members to be in the office or on-site about 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and culture while enabling flexibility.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, Biosystems, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
• Licensed (or eligible) as a professional engineer in Ontario
• 5+ years in water and wastewater treatment process engineering, municipal or industrial projects
• Understanding of process design, hydraulics, modeling, and relevant regulations
• Experience in delivering design projects and producing technical documentation
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated with attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• G license or equivalent, with ability to travel to project sites

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in a consulting environment
• Construction-phase engineering experience
• Project management skills, including scope, schedule, and budget management
• Experience with water and wastewater process modeling software

Compensation

Salary Range: CA$81,800 - CA$107,400
