Your opportunity
Dillon’s Communities and Environment Infrastructure technical group seeks a Senior Water & Wastewater Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. You will work on exciting projects nationwide, delivering a fully integrated client experience. This role is ideal for a motivated leader eager to shape our growing team.

We operate as one team. This position is based in our Kitchener, London, or Guelph offices, with flexible hours and hybrid options to support work-life balance.

Responsibilities
What your day will look like
  • Technical review and QA/QC of water and wastewater projects.
  • Assist with project management, preliminary and detailed designs for municipal and industrial infrastructure, treatment facilities, and pumping stations.
  • Coordinate design team activities, provide direction to team members, and support client relationship managers.
  • Liaise with clients, government agencies, sub-consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
Business Development
  • Maintain existing client relationships and develop new ones, including preparing project proposals.
  • Travel to other Dillon offices as needed.
Learning & Development
  • Commit to ongoing professional growth.
  • Mentor and support junior staff.
  • Participate in professional associations and committees.
Qualifications
What you will need to succeed
  • Degree in civil, mechanical, environmental, or chemical engineering.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a professional engineer in Ontario within six months.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in water and wastewater in Canada.
  • References attesting to your leadership and technical skills.
Experience
  • Progressive responsibility in water & wastewater design and project management.
  • Understanding of consulting engineering business fundamentals.
  • Strategic thinking and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with multidisciplinary teams and project phases.
  • Knowledge of Canadian regulations and emerging technologies.
