Job summary

Linamar Corporation is seeking an Engineer - Process in Canada to determine operations for fabrication and assembly, plan major engineering project phases, and act as a technical guide for complex projects.

You will collaborate with production planning, attend quality planning meetings, and interface with suppliers to define start-of-production requirements, while developing operation sheets and time estimates.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of related experience.
• Experience with drawing interpretation and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Work with production planning to set shop priorities and ensure required tools and documentation are available.
• Attend Advance Quality Planning meetings to finalize fixtures and tooling.
• Interface with suppliers to establish engineering requirements for start of production.
• Investigate and resolve processing problems for assigned projects/parts.
• Prepare quotations including material and processing costs, tooling, gauges and capital investment costs if required.
• Participate in productivity improvement investigations.
• Conduct time studies.
• Maintain ongoing process control through quality troubleshooting and process improvement investigations.
• Review processes and operator instructions for accuracy and conformance to procedures.
