Process Engineer

The location in Skookumchuck, British Columbia, Canada, is seeking talent to fill the position of Process Engineer. This job is full-time permanent.

Responsibilities:

1. General Management:
   • Promotes and supports the health & safety program.
   • Develops process control, testing and sampling techniques necessary to control mill processes.
   • Reviews operating reports and recommends solutions to any deviations from control targets. Provides direct assistance in implementing solutions when required.
2. Policies, Procedures and Controls:
   • Evaluates new or existing processes and equipment to further optimize production, quality and costs.
3. Audit:
   • Ensures internal and external customer specifications are met or exceeded.

Qualifications:

1. This position requires a diploma or degree in Science with 2-3 years experience in kraft pulp milling.
2. Good interpersonal skills, comfortable in a team environment and interacting with others.
3. Excellent written, verbal, listening and troubleshooting skills.
4. A record of safety and environmental compliance.
5. Knowledge of root cause analysis.
