Job description

They tackle complex environmental and site rehabilitation challenges that require more than just technical engineering. They're looking for someone who can take a solution from concept to reality, working closely with operations, contractors, and project teams to ensure systems perform as intended in the field.

The Need:

We're looking for a Process Engineer who understands both the science and the practical realities of environmental treatment and remediation systems. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and bridging the gap between engineering design and operational execution.

What You'll Do:
  • Design, evaluate, and optimize environmental treatment and remediation systems.
  • Support projects from concept and design through procurement, commissioning, and field implementation.
  • Troubleshoot operational challenges and identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Work directly with site teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop operating procedures, technical documentation, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support regulatory compliance and environmental performance objectives.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and deployment of innovative treatment technologies.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • An engineering degree and eligibility for, or registration as, a P.Eng.
  • Experience designing and implementing treatment, remediation, or environmental process systems.
  • Strong understanding of contaminated sites, soil and groundwater treatment, water treatment, or related environmental technologies.
  • A track record of working in both office and field environments.
  • Practical experience supporting projects through design, construction, commissioning, and operation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into workable field solutions.
What This Role Is NOT
  • A traditional plant management or production supervision position.
  • A purely consulting or desk-based engineering role.
  • A role focused solely on project management without technical involvement.
  • A maintenance-focused operations role responsible primarily for equipment and workforce management.
What's In It For You
  • The opportunity to work on technically complex and environmentally meaningful projects.
  • Significant influence over how treatment and remediation systems are designed, implemented, and improved.
  • Exposure to innovative technologies and challenging site conditions.
  • A highly collaborative environment where engineering decisions have a direct impact on operational outcomes.
  • The chance to build practical, real-world solutions rather than simply designing them from a distance.
