Job description

As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, sizing, and optimization of mineral processing equipment used in mineral processing operations. You will work closely with the field sales and service teams to support equipment selection, the preparation of technical proposals, and assistance during commissioning and on-site interventions. This position requires strong analytical skills, practical experience, and the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts.

Main Responsibilities
Process Design and Equipment Sizing
  • Perform the sizing and selection of equipment for key mineral processing steps (classification, gravity separation, dewatering).
  • Collaborate with product specialists to validate designs and performance assumptions.
Develop Technical and Commercial Proposals
  • Prepare technical proposals including equipment specifications, design descriptions, performance indicators, and expected warranties.
  • Contribute to commercial proposals by defining the scope of supply, estimating operational parameters, and supporting cost estimates.
  • Respond to requests for proposals and customer technical questions with clear and concise answers.
  • Prepare technical datasheets and appendices for sales documentation.
On-Site Technical Support and Commissioning
  • Participate in commissioning activities: process start-up, equipment calibration, and performance validation.
  • Diagnose operational problems on-site and recommend solutions.
  • Conduct process audits to evaluate equipment performance and propose improvements.
Desired Profile
  • Degree in chemical, mineral, or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in process engineering, ideally in the mining or mineral processing sector.
