This full-time position offers a career-oriented opportunity within our growing engineering team. You will work in a flexible role involving engineering and design for various technologies in the oil, gas, and chemical sectors, based in Brampton, ON, as part of the Oil & Gas team.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Engage in conceptual studies, detailed design, field installation, and construction support in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.
• Develop PFD / HMB diagrams.
• Create P&ID diagrams using SmartPlant P&ID with linked databases.
• Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (What-if, HAZID, HAZOP).
• Perform detailed hydraulic modelling (PipeFLO Professional, AFT Fathom).
• Conduct engineering calculations for equipment design and sizing.
• Populate equipment and instrumentation specifications and datasheets.
• Evaluate technical bids and review vendor documents.
• Prepare Process Control Philosophy and Plant Operating Manual; support commissioning activities.

What your experience looks like

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 3-8 years of experience as a Process Engineer.
• Experience creating P&ID diagrams in SmartPlant P&ID, including database population and report generation (e.g., piping line list, instrument list, equipment list).
• SmartPlant administrative experience is an asset.
• Process modelling experience with Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
