Employment Type: Permanent

Compensation Details:

  • Citizen Developer 17: Salaries typically range from $83,037 to $110,717 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.
  • Citizen Developer 18: Salaries typically range from $94,664 to $126,219 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.

Location:

  • Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, currently requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week. (subject to change)
  • This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or from one of our Community Hubs located in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Brossard, Laval, or Halifax.
  • Relocation assistance is available for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.

Team Overview:

The Process Performance Improvement (PPI) team operates under the Business Enablement group of the SVP-Centralized Business Services. PPI enables EDC teams to be more efficient and deliver greater value to Canadian exporters through a joint Center of Expertise (COE) for Business Process Management and Automation.

As a Senior Process Automation Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving enterprise-wide automation initiatives by providing governance, asset management, and end-to-end support for automation solutions.

What you will be doing:

  • Drive process-based automation initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Work with business stakeholders to review their manual processes and determine best fit for automation or suggest other solutions.
  • Design, build, document, and test robotic processes.
  • Estimate efficiencies anticipated through the automation solution; analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing automation solutions.
  • Solve problems; take a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Facilitate effective communication between business and IT, ensuring investment decisions and business outcomes are optimized.
  • Monitor error logs of robotic processes and resolve issues when they occur.
  • Provide appropriate user training for use of automation solutions and ongoing support.
  • Effectively coordinates client engagement and manages expectations and communications.
  • Apply and promote corporate standards, best practices, and program governance.

What we are looking for:

  • Completed an Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or in a related field
  • Minimum 3 years / 5 years of experience in automating processes, not necessarily with RPA software
  • Tangible experience with UiPath RPA software
  • At least 1 year of programming experience in almost any programming language
  • Familiarization with APIs and data integrations
  • Strong problem solving & innovation

What will make you stand out:

  • Experience with other RPA software and related platforms
  • Experience with more than one programming language
  • Experience with test-driven development
  • Advance knowledge of project management and change management principles
  • Knowledge of finance or insurance industry
  • Bilingual in both official languages (English and French)
