Job summary

The Home Depot in Canada is seeking a Pro Account Sales Associate (PASA) to build relationships with industrial, commercial and other professional customers. You will share product knowledge across store departments and help customers find the right solutions for their projects.

You will prospect new business on the floor, develop one-on-one relationships with Pro customers, and use consultative selling techniques to grow sales.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year of receiving experience.
• Strong customer-service skills and product knowledge across departments.

Responsibilities

• Spends at least 25% of time pursuing new business, on the sales floor.
• Develops one-on-one relationships with Pro customers; manages accounts.
• Asks questions to clarify needs; uses up-selling and add-on selling.
• Keeps an organized system for profiling and tracking top accounts.
• Follows up with customers to ensure satisfaction; partners with management.
• Creates action plans with supervision to improve selling skills.
• Delivers sales presentations to potential customers outside the store when allowed.
• Creates quotes and processes orders quickly and accurately.
• Ensures orders are picked up and delivered; trains store associates on the Pro Program.
