Join to apply for the Principal Technical Quality Engineer role at Cadence.

Work with the Cadence global silicon solutions teams who design semiconductor IP for top electronic product companies, utilizing leading-edge processes and industry tools. As a Technical Quality Engineer, you will collaborate with design teams, engineering management, CAD, and methodology teams to improve processes and ensure delivery of high-quality products.

Location: On-site in Montreal (QC), Toronto (ON), Cary (NC), or Austin (TX).

Requirements

• Education: MSEE
• Experience: 5+ years in analog/digital IC design, verification, or silicon fabrication quality assurance/control
• Experience in defect management and analysis processes like RCA, 5Why, 8D is a plus
• Strong communication skills, quality focus, and responsibility
• Problem analysis and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Participate in the global IP Quality Team
• Represent the Cadence Quality Team to customers and partners
• Implement process improvements across the organization
• Define and maintain quality procedures
• Generate and interpret quality metrics
• Perform Root Cause Analysis and identify corrective actions
• Conduct Post-Mortem reviews and communicate findings
• Assist in Failure Analysis reports
• Maintain quality certifications like ISO9001 and ISO26262
• Support external semiconductor foundry quality programs
