Job summary

Deh Gah School in Fort Providence, Northwest Territories, seeks a strong educational leader to serve as Principal for a JK-12 program. The successful candidate will oversee staff, report to the District Education Authority, and drive academic and cultural initiatives.

Qualifications

• NWT Teaching Certificate required or eligible.
• NWT Principal Certification or willingness to complete Leadership Program.
• Minimum of five years teaching experience at various levels.
• Demonstrated successful educational leadership experience.
• Experience using technology for attendance and student demographics.
• Experience in cross-cultural and multi-grade classrooms; inclusive schooling leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; superior administrative and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to staff and work with the District Education Authority.
• Oversee all administrative duties and reporting required by the Council and the Department of Education Culture and Employment.
• Lead with school-based applications for attendance and student demographics.
