Job summary

National Bank is seeking a Principal MuleSoft Developer to design and deliver integration solutions on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. A hands-on technical specialist with strong development experience, you will build API-led integrations in complex environments and mentor peers.

You will guide the technical delivery from analysis to production, ensuring security, performance, and quality through reviews, automated tests, and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of software development experience, including 3+ years hands-on with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• MuleSoft Certified Developer certification (Level 1 or Level 2) is preferred.
• Proficient in API-led connectivity, RAML/OpenAPI, DataWeave, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise integration patterns.

As a Principal MuleSoft Developer in the Digital Innovation team at National Bank, you'll be a hands-on technical specialist responsible for designing and delivering integration solutions on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. With your strong development skills, your experience building API-led integrations in complex enterprise environments, and your knowledge of integration patterns, security, and DevOps practices, you'll have a positive impact on the Bank's ability to deliver connected, modern experiences to our clients and employees.

Your role

• Design and develop robust, reusable APIs and integrations on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
• Lead the technical delivery of integration components from analysis through production deployment
• Ensure code quality, performance, and security through peer reviews, automated testing, and adherence to best practices
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and product partners to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
• Support and mentor fellow developers to strengthen the team's MuleSoft expertise
• Identify opportunities to improve integration standards, reusable assets, and CI/CD automation
• Participate in the evolution of our integration roadmap and target architecture

As part of the IT sector, you'll be on a team of 5 colleagues and you'll report to the Senior Director - Delivery Lead. Prerequisites

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of software development experience, including 3+ years hands-on with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
• MuleSoft Certified Developer certification (Level 1 or Level 2); Integration Architect certification an asset
• Proficient in API-led connectivity, RAML/OpenAPI, DataWeave, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise integration patterns
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), messaging systems (Kafka, JMS), and enterprise security standards (OAuth, mTLS)
