Job summary

isgSearch is seeking a Principal Automation Engineer in Canada for a 12-month engagement. You will lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale automation, IaC strategies, and governance across Linux, virtualization, and cloud environments.

You will mentor engineering teams, provide architectural guidance, and collaborate with stakeholders to raise automation capabilities and operational efficiency. Advanced Linux and container skills are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure Automation, Systems Engineering, Platform Engineering, or related field.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with experience mentoring technical teams.
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise Linux environments, virtualization, and container platforms.
• Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python and enterprise monitoring tools.
