Job summary

PartnerRe Ltd. in Toronto is seeking an experienced pricing professional to support the development of pricing applications. You will translate business requirements into specifications, define testing strategies, and provide user support in a hybrid work environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected base salary range for this position, when hired into our Toronto location, is CAD $93,713 - $114,538per year. For positions based in other jurisdictions, compensation will be determined in alignment with local regulations, market benchmarks, and internal compensation frameworks.The above range reflects the typical base salary range for candidates hired into this position. The actual salary will vary depending on a number of factors, including job location, experience, qualifications, education/training, skills, market conditions, and alignment with the role’s requirements.

In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in our annual incentive program, payment under which is at the discretion of PartnerRe and subject to individual and company performance.

Job Description

• Support the development of our applications in the Pricing area, from the business requirements and application specifications to the definition of the testing strategy, and user’s support.
• Analysis of the requirements and specification design.
• Study information needs, system flows, data usage and business processes
• Identify areas for improvement in processes and develop solutions
• Specify solutions that meet business needs and requirements
• Analyze data to identify insights that can inform business decisions
• Assist the development team in planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure successful delivery of solutions
• Create detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutions
• Defining and executing tests in collaboration with users
• Producing the required documentation

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, PowerBI)
• Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum
• Driven towards finding solutions and being responsive
• Experience in the insurance or reinsurance business is a plus
• Some actuarial knowledge is welcome
• Highly motivated to understand our business processes
• Excellent communication and language skills in English (proficient verbal and in writing), as you will interact with the IT and the Business community on a daily basis
• High motivation and capable of working in a challenging international environment in across location teams
• Ability to work effectively within diverse teams and stakeholders
• At least 5 years of experience in similar role.
• Experience in the insurance or reinsurance business in particularly pricing and actuarial methods is a plus.
• A university degree or equivalent in Computer Science
