Job summary

Glencore seeks a Prevention Supervisor for Raglan Mine Site, Nunavik, QC. 14/14 rotating schedule, long vacations, and housing on site are offered. Manage the prevention division and supervise the team, reporting to the Head of Prevention.

You will drive risk-based safety programs, partner with managers, and monitor compliance. Excellent leadership and communication are required; English a plus.

Qualifications

• University certificate in occupational health and safety and at least 10 years in HSE, incl. supervision.
• Solid knowledge of applicable OH&S laws and requirements.
• Experience in incident investigation, risk analysis, and control measures.
• Inspirational leadership with ability to gain buy-in for change.
• Excellent communication and listening skills, adaptable to all levels.
• Working knowledge of English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the prevention team; set priorities and ensure objectives.
• Partner with operational managers on risk management and accountability.
• Evaluate health and safety performance and effectiveness of controls.
• Set priorities based on risks, needs, and legal requirements; monitor plans.
• Support initiatives to reduce risks and improve performance.
• Conduct audits and risk assessments; monitor corrective actions.
• Inspire change and foster team buy-in across the organization.
