Job summary

Glencore Raglan Mine in Raglan, QC, Canada, seeks a Health and Safety Advisor to support employees, managers, and contractors in applying best practices in health and safety. Reporting to the Prevention Supervisor, you will strengthen the culture of prevention through active listening, collaboration, and sustainable solutions, at a site with a 14/14 rotation.

The role requires suitable OH&S qualifications, 5+ years of experience, and fluency in French; English is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hold a certificate in occupational health and safety management or a college diploma in environmental, occupational health, and safety.
• Have at least 5 years of relevant experience in health and safety, ideally in mining, industrial, or construction settings.
• Solid understanding of applicable occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
• Able to communicate effectively in French, English a plus.
• Certification to serve as health and safety coordinator (CoSS) on a construction site is a plus.
• Completion of modular training (FMTM) 1–7 and a general explosives permit (assets).

Responsibilities

• Guide and support teams in applying health and safety procedures, programs, and requirements.
• Coach and advise supervisors and managers to foster autonomy and integrate risk management into planning and activities.
• Participate in risk analyses and evaluation of critical controls to support proactive risk management.
• Conduct planned inspections and prevention activities, analyze discrepancies, and implement corrective measures.
• Demonstrate leadership to foster accountability and a sustainable culture of prevention.
