Location: Prince George, B.C.

Employment Type: Full Time – 35 Hours Per Week

The Opportunity

  • Assist with the development, design and submission of proposals to funding agencies
  • Establish service priorities, evaluate current programs in relation to these priorities and ensure the development of appropriate resources and program to meet identified community needs
  • Assist in establishing a yearly budget which encompasses all expected expenses and project any unforeseeable expenses that prevention programming would incur
  • Assign work directly to staff and establish systems to assign work based on equitable workload and individual abilities of staff

What You Will Bring To The Role

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related degree
  • Four years’ experience in the Child Welfare Field; or
  • Experience as a social worker responsible for providing a full range of child protection duties under provincial or equivalent child welfare legislation
  • An equivalent combination of experience and education in a related field as well as recent supervisory experience (within the last three years).

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $46.69 to $60.47 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
