Job summary

Novo is seeking a prevention advisor to service the Bas-Saint-Laurent region. The role involves carrying out prevention interventions in businesses and building trust with customers.

You will autonomously support the employer in designing their prevention training program and in various prevention activities in collaboration with the health and safety committee or representative. You will identify risks and regulatory non-compliance, offering practical recommendations.

Qualifications

• College diploma in environment, occupational health and safety or OHS certificate (or equivalent)
• University degree in OSH or industrial relations is an asset
• Minimum 1 year of experience in similar functions
• Knowledge of prevention mutuals is an asset
• Fluent in spoken and written French
• Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word/Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the employer's prevention training program.
• Conduct prevention activities with the health and safety committee or rep (investigations, premises inspections, etc.).
• Issue recommendations to identify risks and regulatory non-compliance.
• Support the employer in following CNESST inspector visits.
• Travel to Bas-Saint-Laurent region to perform duties.

Qualifications:

• College diploma in environment, occupational health and safety, EHST technique, occupational health and safety (OHS) certificate or any other combination of training and experience relevant

• University degree with specialization in an appropriate discipline (OSH or industrial relations) [an asset]

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in similar functions

• Knowledge of prevention mutuals (an asset)

• Appropriate command of spoken and written French

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite software, including Word and Outlook

• Holding a valid driving license and a vehicle
