Job summary

Multimatic in Concord, Ontario is seeking a Press Operator to run presses, load coils, and perform setup and quality checks. The role requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will follow standardized procedures, maintain production records, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen and GEAR activities. This is a full-time, on-site position in Concord.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 or equivalent work experience.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Experience loading coils and starting new coils through die.
• Experience with quick die changes and safety checks.
• Familiarity with SmartPac and Spectrum Systems.
• Ability to interact with all levels in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Continue a job in press according to schedule.
• Follow PRO61-10 and PRO62-10 procedures.
• Perform regular checks while the press is running.
• Complete daily production sheet and paperwork.
• Check and change heat code and date stamp as required.
• Pull a die/stamp when job is complete or as required.
• Tag bins accurately.
• Perform safety checks on presses.
• Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.
