Job summary

Multimatic in Concord, Ontario is seeking a Press Material Handler to perform daily forklift operations, load and move stamped parts, and maintain organized material storage to maximize production flow.

You will inspect equipment, operate barcode systems, and document safety checks while collaborating with supervisors to resolve material flow issues; proven forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid propane forklift certification with proven experience operating a counterbalance lift truck.
• Experience operating overhead cranes is required; valid overhead crane certification is considered an asset.
• Minimum two years forklift or material handling experience preferred.
• Demonstrate basic math skills for counting, inventory handling, and material verification.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document daily pre-operational inspections of forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Operate forklifts safely to support press operations and production flow.
• Restock presses with required materials and arrange stamped parts in designated storage areas.
• Remove stamped parts from presses and transport finished goods to staging or shipping areas.
• Organize, return, and maintain bins, racks, and material storage locations.
• Ensure lift truck maintenance, servicing, and reporting requirements are met.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area to support a safe manufacturing environment.
• Communicate with supervisors and production teams to identify and resolve material flow or equipment issues.
• Operate barcode scanning systems and print labels accurately.
• Follow health and safety guidelines, procedures, and regulatory requirements; comply with company policies.
• Provide general administrative and secretarial support to management; support KAIZEN (GEAR) activities.
