Compass Group Canada is seeking a Bartender to prepare and serve beverages to guests in a timely, friendly manner at our Edmonton location.

You will stock the bar, garnish and store perishables, take drink orders, mix and present drinks, and ensure responsible service with ID checks. Maintain a clean, inviting bar area and assist with inventory while following health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience required.
• Demonstrates teamwork and safe work practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to delight guests.
• Strong organizational skills for high-pressure environments.
• ProServe certification required.
• Evening and weekend availability required.

Responsabilités

• Set up assigned bars and stock all beverage supplies.
• Maintain garnishes, produce, and bar stock for quality and freshness.
• Take and process drink orders, mix and garnish per recipes.
• Serve beverages responsibly and verify IDs in line with policy.
• Communicate product needs and shortages to prevent service delays.
• Keep work area clean and organized at all times.
• Submit daily inventory counts and assist with restocking.
• Arrange bottles and glassware to an attractive display.
• Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Build relationships with guests and provide responsive service.
• Follow uniform standards and standard operating procedures.

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a timely manner, while maintaining a friendly and courteous demeanor.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Set up assigned bars and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce


• Maintain stock, prepare, cure, and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality


• Take and/or process orders for drinks; mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practice prudent portion control


• Serve beverages responsibly. Request identification and adhere to all unit and company alcohol compliance policies


• Communicate and anticipate product needs and shortages


• Keep work area clean and organized


• Complete and submit daily inventory counts


• Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area as per directed standard


• Comply to all Health and Safety Policies and procedures


• Build relationships with guests


• Adhere to uniform standards and job specific standard operation procedures

Qualifications, Skills And Abilities
