Job summary

Paladin Airport Security Services is seeking Pre-Board Screening Officers to help safeguard passengers and provide excellent service at our airport locations in Canada.

You will screen passengers and baggage, communicate information professionally, and use X-ray and screening equipment to ensure compliance with security regulations. The role requires strong customer service, reliability, and willingness to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.
• Ability to obtain a Transport Security Clearance and no unpardoned criminal record.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written); French is a strong asset.
• Able to meet CATSA medical requirements.
• Demonstrated exceptional customer service in a high-volume environment (1+ year).
• Able to work any shift including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Physical requirements include lifting/pushing items up to 10 kg and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

What do Pre-Board Screening Officers do?

You will use your strong customer service skills to uphold the safety of passengers and create a positive travel experience by:

• efficiently screening passengers and baggage through airport security checkpoints
• providing information professionally and with integrity
• scanning/testing baggage for prohibited items usings X-ray machines, metal detectors and other technology
• protecting restricted areas
• upholding all regulations with vigilance

What you bring to PASS:

• You are 18 or older
• You have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• You are a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
• You are able to obtain a Transport Security Clearance and have a no unpardoned criminal record
• You have fluency in English (verbal and written). Fluency in French is considered a strong asset - preference is given to Bilingual Candidates
• You are able to comply with the CATSA medical requirements
• You have demonstrated exceptional customer service skills, preferably in a high-volume environment for a minimum of one year
• You are available to work any shift as required by the airport operation. This will include early morning, day, late evening, nights, weekends and statutory holidays
• Physical Requirements of the role include but are not limited to: Visual (including colour) and hearing acuity, ability to lift/push/pull items up to 10kg, bending, squatting, crouching, kneeling and standing/walking/sitting for periods up to 2 hours.
