Job summary

Northern Lights College seeks a temporary, full-time instructor to deliver APN 136: Consolidated Practice Experience A in Dawson Creek, BC (Rotary Manor). The role includes clinical instruction for learners, focusing on applying theory to practice with aging and chronically ill clients, medication administration, and leadership basics.

Salary ranges from CAD 45.60 to CAD 56.75 per hour, with additional pay components for temporary employees.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited Diploma in Practical Nursing or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or another relevant undergraduate degree or professional qualification may be considered.
Current practicing license as an LPN, RPN, RN or NP with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives with no limits or conditions or another relevant professional license.
Minimum three to five years (full-time equivalent) of recent Canadian nursing experience.
Completed course work in Indigenous cultural safety and humility.

Responsibilities

Deliver APN 136: Consolidated Practice Experience A in clinical settings.
Provide care to ageing clients and/or those with chronic illness in residential care facilities.
Administer medications, perform nursing care, health assessment, wound care and introduction to leadership.
Collaborate with the Health Sciences Department and instructional team to foster evidence-informed practice.
