Job summary

Ford of Canada’s Windsor team seeks an Engineering Research & Development professional to manage engine tests and coordinate Dynamometer technicians across the PERDC network.

You will develop gasoline and diesel engine research, operate calibration tools (ATI Vision, ETAS), analyze emissions, and publish technical findings while supporting large test facility projects and cross-functional collaboration across Ford units.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 2+ years in internal combustion engine development.
  • Masters/PhD preferred.
  • Experience with engine research, direct injection, turbocharging, and combustion.
  • Experience with powertrain calibration tools and data acquisition systems.
  • Ability to write technical reports and publish papers.

Responsibilities

  • Support and develop gasoline and diesel engine research, development, and testing.
  • Operate powertrain calibration tools and data acquisition in dynamometer test cells.
  • Analyze exhaust emissions with analyzer systems.
  • Document and publish internal technical reports and papers.
  • Execute CETP procedures and advance test automation.
  • Lead major development projects like NVH optimization.
  • Manage test facility projects from design to implementation.
  • Collaborate with PERDC engineers, technicians, and associates.
