Job summary

V2Soft is seeking a Powertrain Engine OBD Calibration Engineer to develop and implement best practice calibration solutions, perform diagnostic verification, and manage OBD calibrations to meet CARB standards. The role requires hands-on work with data acquisition, analysis, and reporting.

Travel 2–4 weeks yearly for system validation. 3 years' experience, familiarity with INCA, Matlab/Simulink, and basic gasoline hardware knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in calibration or diagnostic development.
• Proficient with INCA, MATLAB and Simulink/Stateflow for data analysis.
• Basic understanding of gasoline propulsion hardware and systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement calibration solutions for OBD systems to meet CARB regulations.
• Perform diagnostic verification testing and prepare detailed reports and timing projections.
• Collaborate on hardware-software requirements and use standard toolsets for data acquisition and analysis.
• Travel 2–4 weeks per year for system validation/verification.

Job Description

The Powertrain Engine OBD Calibration Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing best practice calibration solutions and performing diagnostic verification testing. The Powertrain Engine OBD Calibration Engineer will manage all technical aspects of the OBD diagnostic calibrations to meet CARB regulations, identify system requirements during system hardware design to insure a robust diagnostic system, use standard instrumentation toolsets for data acquisition, storage, and analysis, calibrate diagnostic thresholds to meet CARB regulations, and provide regular overview summaries and detailed reports on specific assignments, including timing projections. The Candidate should expect to travel 2 - 4 weeks throughout the year for system validation/verification.

• 1) 3 years' of experience required.
• 2) Proficient using INCA, Matlab and Simulink/Stateflow
• 3) Basic understanding of gasoline propulsion system hardware and function
