Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services and Systems Division is hiring a Power Systems Engineering Lead to join our Power Systems Engineering (PSE) group. The role can be based in Calgary or other Eaton locations across Canada, with an expected salary range of CAD 93,000 to CAD 117,000 per year.

You will provide applied engineering consultation across power systems studies, power quality analysis, substation design, and training, helping clients optimize performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• P.Eng. License in any Canadian Province.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience working as Power System Engineer.
• Experience in Ground Grid Design using CDEGS or similar software.
• Must be able to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Provide applied engineering consultation for power systems studies, design, installation, startup, maintenance, repair and training.
• Manage assigned projects and job costs to perform work within budgeted cost estimates; interpret specs and design technical proposals and pricing.
• Provide technical solutions to customers involving equipment design or upgrades, testing, safety, reliability or efficiency.
• Perform engineering design duties applying engineering principles.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving relative to power distribution equipment.
• Mentor or lead other engineers on projects, reviewing and stamping their work.
• Design and conduct specialized training for customers.
