Job summary

GetHired, Inc. in Edmonton seeks a General Manager – Power Services to lead strategic growth, drive profitability, and oversee five core service areas: Electrical Projects, Maintenance, Engineering & Design, Shop & Field Labour, and Automation.

This role reports to senior leadership and carries P&L accountability. You will direct cross-functional teams, optimize pricing and resource use, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across internal and client contracts.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman Electrician required.
• Minimum 5 years senior management experience.
• Minimum 10 years industrial, oilfield, and/or construction experience.
• Fluent in English (reading, written, spoken).
• Proficient with the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word).
• Excellent business acumen.
• Assertive leader able to manage teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage total divisional P&L and targets (revenue, gross margin, net contribution).
• Develop and execute strategic plans to grow market share and diversify services.
• Oversee pricing structures, quote approvals, and resource allocation across shop, field, and engineering ops.
• Drive cross-functional integration of five streams: Projects, Maintenance, Engineering/Design, Shop/Field Labour, and Automation.
• Lead contract administration and key client relationships; support external contracts and business development.
