Based in Edmonton with a 36.25-hour week, this permanent position requires leadership in asset management, contractor oversight, and ensuring operational reliability of critical infrastructure for forestry and parks services.

Qualifications

• This role requires a two-year technical diploma or equivalent in heavy duty mechanics or power systems, plus six years related experience.
• Experience with diesel, LPG, natural gas, and gasoline generator systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with safety, environmental, and government contracting standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced diagnostics, overhauls, and repairs on generator systems.
• Respond to emergency outages and restore critical operations.
• Develop maintenance requirements for outsourced contracts and evaluate proposals.
• Lead long-term asset management, capital planning, and fleet modernization.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and quality across all work.
