Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a skilled Journeyperson or Apprentice Linesperson to support construction, installation, and maintenance of overhead and underground powerlines across Ontario. You will climb poles, operate bucket trucks and other equipment, and ensure safe, standards-compliant work.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Powerline Technician certification or enrollment in a lineman apprenticeship program.
• 1–3 years of experience in powerline construction or strong technical training.
• Ability to climb poles using spikes and rigging; work from bucket trucks or man-lifts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Valid Class 5 license; Class 1 or 3 preferred; provide five-year driving abstract.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, inspect, and maintain overhead and underground power distribution systems.
• Operate tools and equipment including bucket trucks and backhoes.
• Troubleshoot and repair distribution powerlines.
• Transport materials for electrical installations.
• Follow OH&S standards and safety practices; train junior workers or apprentices.
