Job summary

Ledcor Group is seeking a skilled Journeyperson or Apprentice Linesperson to support the construction, installation, and maintenance of overhead and underground powerlines in Alberta. You will enjoy working at heights, operating bucket trucks and other equipment, and ensuring safe, standards-compliant installations.

Join our Utilities team in Alberta today! Outdoor work, 10–12 hour shifts, and extensive travel across Alberta are expected.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Powerline Technician certification or enrolled in an apprenticeship.
• 1–3 years of powerline construction experience or strong technical training.
• Ability to climb poles and work from bucket trucks or man-lifts.
• Valid Class 5 license; Class 1 or 3 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, inspect, and maintain overhead and underground power distribution systems.
• Operate tools and equipment including bucket trucks, backhoes, trenchers, skid steers, and digger derrick trucks.
• Read construction drawings, plans, and schematics; track production and materials.
• Promote safety and OH&S standards; train junior workers.
