Job summary

TalentSphere is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic in Saskatoon, SK, with a focus on power generation and HVAC systems. You’ll split your time between shop and field work, diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related mechanical systems.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of HD experience, Power Gen exposure, and a Journeyman or Red Seal is preferred. Must have own tools, a valid driver’s license, and be able to lift 45 lbs. Full-time, mix of shop and field work, urgent start.

Qualifications

• Able to read schematics and work independently.
• Own the necessary tools for the trade.

Responsibilities

Hiring ASAP: Heavy Duty Mechanic (Power Gen / HVAC focus) | Saskatoon, SK | $40–$46/hr

Hi everyone – I’m recruiting with TalentSphere and we need a strong HD Mechanic in Saskatoon right away (ideally starting within the next 3 weeks).

The - Role

We’re looking for an independent, hands-on Heavy Duty Mechanic who is comfortable working both in the shop and as a field tech. You’ll focus on maintenance and repairs of diesel engines, power generation equipment, HVAC systems, and related mechanical systems.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems


• Working independently in both shop and on-site/field environments


• Completing service documentation and reporting equipment condition


• Occasional customer-site visits and equipment demonstrations


• Mentoring junior techs when needed

Ideal Candidate

• Strong Heavy Duty mechanical experience (this is the primary focus)


• Power Generation experience is a big plus


• Journeyman or Red Seal certification preferred


• 3–5+ years diagnosing and repairing diesel engines / HD equipment


• Comfortable reading schematics and working independently


• Own the tools for the trade


• Valid driver’s licence with clean abstract


• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
