Job summary

Basin Solutions in Alberta is seeking experienced generator service technicians to join a growing network across the province. You will install, service, troubleshoot and repair standby and prime power generator sets, transfer switches, and control systems in the field.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with industrial or commercial generators, strong diagnostic skills for engines, electrical systems and controls, and a valid Class 5 license.

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on experience servicing industrial or commercial generators
• Strong diagnostic skills across engines, electrical systems, and controls
• Experience with automatic transfer switches and load bank testing
• Heavy Equipment Technician, Electrician, or related trade certificate is an asset
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and a clean abstract
• Comfortable working independently in the field, including in Alberta winters

Basin Solutions is building a network of generator service technicians for upcoming roles with clients in power generation, oil and gas, and commercial sectors across Alberta. If you know diesel and natural gas generators inside and out, we want to talk.

These roles focus on installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing standby and prime power generator sets, transfer switches, and control systems. Most positions are field based with time at customer sites, and some include on call rotations.

What we’re looking for

• Several years of hands‑on experience servicing industrial or commercial generators
• Strong diagnostic skills across engines, electrical systems, and controls
• Experience with automatic transfer switches and load bank testing
• Heavy Equipment Technician, Electrician, or related trade certificate is an asset
