Job summary

Weir Minerals in Surrey, BC is seeking a Power Engineer & Rubber Liner to carry out rubber lining processes and read blueprints to ensure precise application. The role requires operating the autoclave for curing and maintaining detailed records, with a focus on safety and quality in a day shift.

Ideal candidates have a Class 5 Power Engineering certificate and hands-on experience in manual labor, with strong reading of drawings.

Qualifications

• Class 5 Power Engineering certificate required.
• Hands-on, manual labor experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings.
• Experience with rubber lining is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pipes and hoses for rubber lining according to drawings.
• Apply rubber to interior surfaces following instructions and sketches.
• Operate and monitor the autoclave for rubber curing; maintain logs and reports.
• Read blueprint drawings and lay out components to tolerances.
• Handle material loading/unloading and maintain safety practices.
