Job summary

The Weir Group is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for our Elliott Lake, ON facility. This onsite role supports the production of specialty rubber products for the energy sector, interfacing with manufacturing, sales, engineering and quality teams to ensure smooth collaboration and timely delivery.

You will translate drawings into SAP processes, oversee maintenance activities, and conduct quality inspections.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree/certification or 4-year mechanical/industrial engineering degree or equivalent.
• 2–5+ years manufacturing/site operations experience with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Interface between manufacturing, sales, engineering, and quality teams to coordinate production.
• Translate technical drawings into SAP processes and drive material fabrication.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance and verify equipment functions.
• Perform quality inspections and prepare turnover packages and inspection plans.
• Manage welder qualification and calibration records.
• Lead rubber lining refurbishment program and promote cost efficiency.
• Occasional coordination with remote teams; minimal travel.
