Job summary

The University of British Columbia is hiring a Maintenance Engineer to operate and maintain campus boilers, cooling towers, pumps, HVAC and district energy systems. You will ensure 24/7 operation and coordinate with internal teams and external contractors.

Key requirements include a valid 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate, a Class 5 driver's license, and 6+ years of related experience. The role includes on-call duty and a monthly salary range with a $1/hour stipend for advanced certificates.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain building equipment and district energy systems to keep campus running 24/7.
• Perform safety checks, daily logs, and report abnormalities to the Assistant Chief Engineer.
• Handle administrative tasks including records, logs, and inventory; support on-call rotations.
