Job summary

BGIS is seeking a 3rd Class Power Engineer for a role in Peace River, AB. The incumbent will operate and maintain central heating and cooling plant equipment, ensuring safe, continuous control of temperature to meet client specifications.

The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of Class 3 experience, a valid Power Engineer certification, and familiarity with boilers, chillers, water treatment, and plant instrumentation. This on-site position offers competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience at the Class 3 level.
• Experience with government facilities/clients is considered a strong asset.
• Familiarity with operating characteristics of boilers, chillers, generators, and related plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boilers, chillers, generators and associated plant equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with start-up/shutdown of large systems.
• Conduct tests on water samples and adjust chemical concentrations as required.
• Utilize computer software for plant monitoring and record-keeping.
• Prepare shift logs and reports with operational data.
