Job summary

Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd. is seeking driven Power Engineering operators (3rd and 4th class) to join our Fort St. John team. The role requires knowledge of OH&S legislation and industry standards in oil & gas, with a 7 on 7 shift pattern and no camp accommodations.

Applicants must reside in the Fort St. John area and hold a 4th class power engineering ticket or higher. Certification in First Aid, H2S Alive, and CSO is required; strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for

Qualifications

• Must hold 4th class power engineering ticket or better.
• Experience in gas plant operations preferred.
• Current safety certificates: First Aid Level 1, H2S Alive, CSO.
• Residence in Fort St. John area; no camp.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to work independently and complete routine tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate gas plant in accordance with OH&S legislation and company standards.
• Maintain safe, efficient plant operations and respond to alarms.
• Work 7 on 7 shift pattern; coordinate with maintenance and operations teams.
• Monitor equipment, perform routine tasks, and document activities.
• Assist with start-up/shutdown procedures and quality control.

Job description

Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd is looking for a driven, experienced 3rd and 4th class Power Engineering operators to join our team.

The individuals must be knowledgeable about current OH&S legislation, and conversant with the industry standards and practices of today’s safety-focused oil & gas sector.

This is a plant position 7 and 7 shift, no truck required

Must have a residence in the Fort St John area.

No camp available

Experience In Gas Plant Operations

Must have either 4th class power engineering ticket or better.

Previous experience in Ifpexol refrigeration. Sulphinol sweetening. Acid gas injection. Condensate stabilization. Gas driven power generation, an asset.

• Current Standard First Aid Level 1, Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive and CSO certificates are a requirement
• Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work within a team environment
• Must be self motivated with the ability to work alone and complete routine tasks
