Portfolio Manager, Trading & Investment Management

Location: This in-office position will be located in our Calgary office.

The Opportunity

The Portfolio Manager, Trading & Investment Management supports investment operations, manages client portfolios, conducts research, and collaborates with a team of professionals to deliver exceptional service to high-net-worth clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage investment operations daily, including modeling and trading client portfolios.
2. Execute trades efficiently and in compliance with policies.
3. Manage cash balances and perform cash transfers, including foreign exchange transactions.
4. Prepare performance analytics and conduct due diligence on managers and investments.
5. Participate in investment meetings, contribute ideas, and support the investment process.
6. Research macroeconomic trends and prepare reports for senior management.
7. Collaborate with team members to improve operational policies and client service.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in trading and investment management.
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or similar designation preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Experience with investment research and trading tools preferred.
• Knowledge of Canadian wealth management and tax considerations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
