Job summary

Northland Nissan, part of AutoCanada, is seeking a Sales Porter to support customers and the dealership by transporting people, detailing vehicles, and keeping the lot organized.

In this fast-paced role you will move customers and staff as needed, assist with servicing tasks, and ensure vehicles are clean and properly parked for sale or service. A high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and interest in automotive are required. Power washer experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Interest in automotive industry and knowledge about vehicles.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience with cleaning products and tools, including power washers, is a plus.
• Dependable with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Build and maintain the dealership's grounds and lots as required.
• Daily organization and parking of vehicles for sale and service areas.
• Remove protective coverings and ID tags before returning vehicles to customers.
• Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and report any issues to the appropriate manager.
• Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks.
• Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed.
• Clean vehicle exteriors seasonally (e.g., snow removal).
• Identify merchandising needs or issues to the manager.

Your area of focus.

In this position, theSales Porterwill be responsible for transporting customers as needed, cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles owned by customers and those that will be placed into inventory. Success in this role will require someone who has the physical capabilities to effectively maneuver around, under, and inside the vehicle to ensure a thorough and satisfactory detail has been completed.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed
• Building and grounds maintenance as needed
• Daily Organization and parking of vehicles for saleand service department
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer
• Inspect vehicles for stains,debrisand damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, and report any damageimmediately
• Assistwith service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks
• Assistwith shop clean-up and deliveries when needed
• Cleaning off vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs (i.e.snow removal)
• Identifyany lot merchandising needs or issues to theappropriate manager
• Monitoring and organizing vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process

What are the must-haves…

• High school diploma or GED
• Interest in automotive industry, and knowledgeable about vehicles
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset
• Must be dependable, reliable,possessa strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
