Job summary

Northland Nissan, part of the AutoCanada network, is hiring a Sales Porter on a full-time basis. The role focuses on transporting customers and dealership staff, preparing vehicles for sale and service, and maintaining lot organization.

You will inspect vehicles for cleanliness and damage, support service write-ups, and assist with deliveries as needed. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to drive both

Qualifications

• Interest in automotive industry and knowledge about vehicles.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience with cleaning products and cleaning tools (power washers is asset).
• Dependable with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Transporting customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Daily organization and parking of vehicles for sale and service department.
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer.
• Inspect vehicles for stains, debris and damages; report issues immediately.
• Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks.
• Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed.
• Cleaning off vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs (e.g., snow removal).
• Identify any lot merchandising needs or issues to the appropriate manager.
• Monitoring and organizing vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process.

Your area of focus.

In this position, theSales Porterwill be responsible for transporting customers as needed, cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles owned by customers and those that will be placed into inventory. Success in this role will require someone who has the physical capabilities to effectively maneuver around, under, and inside the vehicle to ensure a thorough and satisfactory detail has been completed.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed
• Building and grounds maintenance as needed
• Daily Organization and parking of vehicles for saleand service department
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer

What are the must-haves…
