Job summary

Northland Nissan, part of AutoCanada, is hiring a Sales Porter to transport customers, detail vehicles, and support dealership operations. This role requires the ability to maneuver around vehicles and perform detailed cleaning to ensure inventory quality.

You will work in a fast-paced dealership environment with opportunities to grow within the AutoCanada network. A high school diploma, valid license, and knowledge of vehicle cleaning are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Interest in automotive industry is essential.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Perform basic building and grounds maintenance.
• Organize and park vehicles for sale and service daily.
• Remove protective coverings and ID tags before returning vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles for stains, debris or damages and report issues.
• Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars.
• Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries as needed.
• Clean exteriors per seasonal needs (e.g., snow).
• Identify lot merchandising needs and escalate to manager.
• Track daily vehicle progress in reconditioning.

Your area of focus.

In this position, theSales Porterwill be responsible for transporting customers as needed, cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles owned by customers and those that will be placed into inventory. Success in this role will require someone who has the physical capabilities to effectively maneuver around, under, and inside the vehicle to ensure a thorough and satisfactory detail has been completed.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed
• Building and grounds maintenance as needed
• Daily Organization and parking of vehicles for saleand service department
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer
• Inspect vehicles for stains,debrisand damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, and report any damageimmediately
• Assistwith service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks
• Assistwith shop clean-up and deliveries when needed
• Cleaning off vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs (i.e.snow removal)
• Identifyany lot merchandising needs or issues to theappropriate manager
• Monitoring and organizing vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process

What are the must-haves…

• High school diploma or GED
• Interest in automotive industry, and knowledgeable about vehicles
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset
• Must be dependable, reliable,possessa strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
