Job summary

417 Nissan, part of the AutoCanada network, seeks a hands-on transporter/maintenance assistant to support the Sales and Service teams. You will transport customers and staff, maintain the lot and showroom vehicles, and help with deliveries and reconditioning processes.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to drive both automatic and manual transmissions. Prior cleaning products/tools experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Interest in automotive industry and knowledge about vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience with cleaning products and cleaning tools (power washers is an asset).
• Must be dependable with strong attention to detail and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Transporting customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Maintain building and grounds.
• Support Sales and Service departments with daily duties.
• Organize and park vehicles for sale and service.
• Remove vehicle coverings and ID tags before returning to customers.
• Inspect vehicles for stains, debris, and damages and report issues.
• Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars.
• Assist with shop clean‑up and deliveries as needed.
• Clean exteriors according to seasonal needs (e.g., snow removal).
• Identify lot merchandising needs and communicate to the manager.
• Place signage on vehicles for advertising.
• Monitor and organize vehicles as they move through reconditioning.

Your area of focus.

Responsible for transporting customers and dealership personnel, maintaining the building and grounds, and supporting the Sales and Service Departments. Duties include organizing and parking vehicles, detailing customer and showroom vehicles, removing snow and protective coverings, checking vehicles for damage, picking up parts, assisting with deliveries and shop clean‑up, and keeping the lot clean and organized. Also responsible for placing vehicle signage, monitoring vehicles through the reconditioning process, and delivering dealer trades to nearby stores or driving customers home when needed.

What drives your day‑to‑day?

• Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed

• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer
• Inspect vehicles for stains,debrisand damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, and report any damageimmediately
• Assistwith service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks
• Assistwith shop clean‑up and deliveries when needed
• Cleaning off vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs (i.e.snow removal)
• Identifyany lot merchandising needs or issues to theappropriate manager
• Placing signage in and on vehiclesfor advertising purposes
• Monitoring and organizing vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process

What are the must-haves…

Compensation

The expected range of compensation for this position is $18 – $18.50 Hourly — No bonus. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, education, skills and experience.
