The City of Red Deer is currently recruiting a Police Communications Operator to fill a casual position. The Police Communications Operators are primarily the first point of contact for all incoming telephone calls (non-emergency and administrative) into the RCMP detachment from the public, Municipal Enforcement Officers, and all other third party clients. The position utilizes and is responsible for maintaining all relevant police databases, computer related software and communication devices. The purpose of this role is to triage all requests for service to determine the appropriate follow up or action required and plays a critical role in Municipal Enforcement Officer safety.

75 hours biweekly, as scheduled. Shifts scheduled Monday to Sunday between the hours of 6:45 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. including Statutory Holidays.
