EXP is seeking a Plumbing/Medical Gas Designer for our Markham, ON office. You will perform engineering tasks in plumbing, medical gas and fire protection, developing design documents in collaboration with senior staff and coordinating with engineers and architects.

Qualifications include a mechanical engineering degree or college diploma, 5–10 years of plumbing/medical gas design, and AutoCAD/REVIT MEP proficiency. Strong communication and MS Office skills are also required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree or college diploma required.
• 5–10 years of plumbing/medical gas design experience.
• Working knowledge of building codes, CSA and NFPA standards.
• AutoCAD and REVIT MEP experience required.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment with multiple projects and clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Responsabilités

• Perform engineering tasks within plumbing, medical gas and fire protection disciplines and develop design documents with senior staff.
• Perform complex design calculations, sketches and technical comparisons as directed by Project Manager.
• Coordinate drawings with team engineers and architects and implement design modifications.
• Research code issues as directed by Project Manager.
• Perform load calculations and design piping distribution layouts.
• Prepare schedules, detail drawings and equipment specifications.
