Job summary

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership, a Johnson Controls subsidiary, seeks a Plumbing Apprentice for our Nisku facility. You will assist journeyperson plumbers with installation, maintenance and repairs in a large manufacturing environment, on a rotating day shift (6:00 AM–6:00 PM) with weekend coverage.

You must be registered as a Plumbing Apprentice in Alberta and enrolled in a recognized trade school. The role requires strong problem-solving, communication and safety awareness, with aptitude for

Qualifications

• Registered as a Plumbing Apprentice in Alberta and enrolled in a recognized trade school.
• Ability to work under the supervision of Journeyperson plumbers, as part of a team, and independently in a busy environment.
• Experience with routine electrical maintenance operations is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyperson plumbers in installation and maintenance.
• Support repairs for plumbing and heating in a large facility.
• Braze/solder copper pipe as required.
• Work with PVC pipe.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.
• Stay aware of safety policies and regulations.

Overview

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls. Silent-Aire is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions.

This role is located at our facility in Nisku and you must have a reliable transportation to commute.

This role will be offered to work Rotating Day Shift: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with weekend coverage included as part of the rotation.

ThePlumbing ApprenticewillassisttheJourneypersonPlumber(s) in installation, maintenance, and repairs associated with plumbing and heating requirements for a large manufacturing environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Excellent facilitation, investigation,and problem-solving skills.

• Sets prioritiesonwork assignments and hasabilityto meet established deadlines.

• Able to braze/solder copper pipe.

• Able to work with PVC pipe.

• Experiencewithhandand powertools.

• Participatein proper clean-ups to ensure an efficient and safe work environment.

• Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance,and repair techniques.

• Performs all dutiesin accordance withSilent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
