Job summary

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is seeking a Plumbing Apprentice for our Nisku facility, with a Friday–Sunday 6 PM–6 AM night shift. You will assist Journeyperson plumbers with installation, maintenance, and repair in a large manufacturing setting, ensuring safety policies are followed and work is completed on time.

Ideal candidates are registered apprentices in Alberta, enrolled in a trade school, and capable of working under supervision or independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Plumbing Apprentice in Alberta and enrolled in a recognized trade school.
• Ability to work under supervision of Journeyperson plumbers, as part of a team, and independently in a busy environment.
• Experience with routine electrical maintenance operations is an asset.
• Highly flexible, with strong interpersonal skills for a diverse environment.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Excellent facilitation, investigation, and problem-solving skills.
• Sets priorities on work assignments and has ability to meet established deadlines.
• Able to braze/solder copper pipe.
• Able to work with PVC pipe.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Participate in proper clean-ups to ensure an efficient and safe work environment.
• Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
• Performs all duties in accordance with safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
• Other duties as required.

This role is located at our facility in Nisku and you must have a reliable transportation to commute.

This role will be offered to work Friday to Sunday Nightshift (6 PM - 6 AM).

The Plumbing Apprentice will assist the Journeyperson Plumber(s) in installation, maintenance, and repairs associated with plumbing and heating requirements for a large manufacturing environment.
